Tuesdays are currently full for Kindergarten, First Grade and for siblings in Pre-Kindergarten. If you have kids in either grade levels or have siblings that would be placed in these grades, we still have limited openings available on Thursdays.

Due to an abundance of preschoolers, preschool and pre-kindergarten, classes are currently reserved for families enrolled for students K-12 with siblings younger than kindergarten.
We do review enrollment for families seeking a preschool opportunity on a case-by-case basis upon availability.

Shema Homeschool Co-ops mission is to encourage and facilitate enrichment opportunities for Christian families that choose to home educate their children.
About Us
Christ-Centered Community
Shema is a Christian Homeschool Co-op whose purpose is to educate our children in a Biblical, Christ-centered environment, providing unique educational opportunities that capitalize on the strengths of the parents involved. Secondly, we seek to foster community among our families and provide support and encouragement to one another on the homeschooling journey.
We know how important it is to be surrounded by homeschooling families with a heart for Jesus.
Our co-op meets on Tuesday & Thursday mornings at West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie, Kansas to learn, fellowship and enjoy one another's company.
Home School Classes, Electives & Community
All Ages and Stages Welcome
Are you a beginning homeschooler, expert, or somewhere in between? Not to worry! We’ll come alongside you in your family’s homeschool journey. Our group is made up of families from all seasons of life. We offer Home School Classes, Electives & Community for kids in Kindergarten - High School, have a nursery for infants and classes for toddlers and preschoolers. We are a Christian Homeschool Co-op in Tonganoxie,KS and welcome surrounding communities from Lawrence, McClouth, Leavenworth, Basehor, Bonner Springs and more! We look forward to meeting you.
Exciting Extracurriculars
We offer a wide variety of extra-curricular classes that parents of homeschool students may not have the time or resources to add to their current lineup.
Past classes have included: Art, Spanish, Oceans, Sign Language, Yearbook, Graphic Design, Physical Education, STEM, Creative Writing, Physical Science, Cooking, ELA, Theater and More!
Parents also have the ability to be involved in the class planning process each semester.

What does “shema” mean?
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one, and as for you, you shall Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength."
The Shema is a powerful prayer and one with a lot of meaning packed into just a few words.
Listen to Tim Mackie with The Bible Project expound on the Shema and the heart and meaning behind it.
To "Shema," is to Hear, Listen and Obey the Lord and we want to teach these commands diligently to our children.
