$75 per family, per semester.
This covers our basic expenses such as classroom materials, curriculum and general operating costs.
Some classes have minor additional fees and recommend specific textbooks (mostly middle school and high school).
We want to ensure that all families have the opportunity to be a part of a community. If you need assistance, please contact us.
We start out the morning together with prayer, the pledge, scripture memorization, and announcements. From there parents and children head to their classes for the morning (there is typically a rotation of 4 classes). Occasionally, after the fourth period, families have the option to stay for lunch in the cafeteria, meet at Chieftain Park for lunch when the weather permits or leave for the day. On special occasions we end our day with a special celebration, activities/crafts or pizza parties.
We think it’s important that parents are involved and in full control of their children's main education. However, we want to be here to help in anyway we can. We are pursuing a Science emphasis to help our families accomplish this core as a group! We hope this is helpful to your families by doing experiments and fun learning together!
All students also have a Bible class.
We also try to engage all ages with fun and interesting classes that may not be a part of a normal home curriculum, such as Art, Spanish, PE, Sign Language, Graphic Design, Photography or more targeted segments such as a science class studying the Ocean or Solar System.
You don't have to lead teach any class until you feel comfortable. But, You can do it! We’ll help ease you in by assigning classes to be a helper and talking about your background and the ages you love working with. All moms are assigned to help in classes while their children are in their classes for 3 class periods, with one class period to be used as a break to fellowship and get to know the other "Shemamas."
